Crave or Save: Laced Booties.

30 Aug

Now Miley Cyrus is no fashion idol of mine but lately she has been seen EVERYWHERE in her Alexander Wang Freja laced zip booties and I have been jealous. This beautiful boot has been seen on Kim Kardashian, Rihanna and Jessica Szohr and I want them to be seen on me! But their hefty price tag of $875 has me a little left in the dust.

The gorgeous edgy yet chic boot is the perfect match for transitioning into fall and so utterly to-die-for.

So this a real case of crave or save! And until now I was seriously contemplating gather my friends and family to create a birthday pool to make these mine! But then, when scouring online I came across these A.Wang wannabes…

While the leather is no where near as nice, and the heel on a more “attainable” level, I believe they are a fair pass for the original. They can be folded down a la the Freja’s but the grommets just aren’t as exquisite and the detailing not as sharp. These N.Y.L.A. Frissy Bootie are only $106.95 on which is perfect for one season then discarding. The military-esque detailing brings the shoe right on trend for Fall 2010 while the peep toe shape brings a femininity that most women would love in order to balance the shoe out.

If you’re looking for an affordable and chic alternative to the coveting Alexander Wang boot, this would be your best option. Or if you’re lucky enough to get the original, hurry your pedicured toes over to shopbop and snag a pair asap.. and then get me a pair, 8.5 please! XO
