Neon Nights.

12 Apr

Versace’s Spring 2010 RTW Collection featured a variety of head to toe neon such as this look below…

But when it comes to bringing neon into every day, a head to toe look can create less of a stop-traffic effect and more of traffic-cone look. In order to avoid looking like you fell out of a seventies rave stick to neon accessories instead of clothing for a more understated but still chic statement.

This season, neon is the perfect accessory to any LBD. Whether it’s a bold pink lip á la Chanel, bright tips courtesy of essie polish Funky Limelight, or a major bag like Rebecca Minkoff’s 3-zip clutch.

This cute crossbody bag has the edge of zippers, the color to pop, and the ability to transform into a cute clutch. Versatility and trend all in one. I love that if you want an edgier look you can have the zippers facing outwards or else you can tuck it in and create a fun, playful look. The fluorescence adds a flirty, youthful feel to any basic black dress and can be the real stand out of any outfit. The gold hardware makes it the perfect day-to-night bag and since it’s compact you won’t have to worry about overdosing on neon at work. At $330, you get a crossbody, over the shoulder, and a clutch all in one! I’d say that’s a pretty good deal!

What do you think? How do you incorporate neon into your every day look?!

I am a big fan of neon and if it is worn correctly then it is suitable for all ages. The young look vibrant and full of health, the middle aged look smart and sophisticated and the older generation look like they still care about themselves and are proud to be still living life to the full. Go and enjoy, live life to the full and wear what says you are proud of yourself.

I agree! Neon can be used as much and as minimally as you want and due to that it can work for any age group! Thanks for bringing a new perspective to Everyday to Runway!
