The Chocolate Holiday.

12 Feb

I have always thought people who hate on Valentine’s Day are just bitter for being single, but this year with chick flicks allll over you can celebrate with your best girlies too! So for all you non-bitter Betty’s, here’s a super cute outfit option for the 14th… and yes, this is one of my favorite holidays!

Kristen Cavallari wore this super chic silk mini by Naven for the When in Rome premiere and I think she looks ah-mazing. Even though I may not be a fan of her personally, or normally dresses that are banded at the bottom, this $379 hot pink sheath cancels out all rules. Pairing this pretty pink number with nude pumps (hers Louboutins, of course) made her legs go on for days. NOTE: Nude pumps should be a girl’s real best friend. My favorite part about this dress, besides the amazing color, is that is has a perfect peek-a-boo back that balances out the more conservative front. Cut-out dresses will be BIG this year and as long as you exfoliate, they look great on everyone!

Pair  any look with these subtle studs that read LOVE by Jennifer Zeuner which are only $132, and come in silver too. I love pink and gold but some  paler skin tones cannot compete with the rich gold and should stick to silver.

No Boyfriend? Marc Jacobs wants to make you happy with this limited edition mirrored heart evening bag that is, wait for it… $35! Available only at Marc Jacobs collection stores, pick one up ASAP because these will not last long!

I want to remind you all that Valentine’s Day isn’t the day to hate on couples. If you’re dating, make it a casual day, make dinner together, and skip the presents and just spend quality time together. If you’re single, do a NBA- No Boys Allowed- dinner (it’s a sorority tradition), and go see the new movie Valentine’s Day followed by baking up a storm. There are so many great, fun drink recipes out there and heat just some chocolate chips and make homemade chocolate covered strawberries! Just have fun with who you love, it might be a special boy, or the girls who you know always have your back.

My favorite drink recipe in honor of one of my favorite holidays:

Strawberry Kiss

– 1 1/2 oz. Absolut Vanilia
– 1/2 oz. strawberry liqueur
– Splash of CranPineapple juice

Combine ingredients and top with champagne.

So Pucker Up Lovers.
